GENIUS Olympiad

“Lets build a better future together" 

GENIUS Olympiad is an international high school project competition about environmental issues. It is  founded and organized by the Terra Science and Education and hosted by the State University of New York at Oswego. GENIUS Olympiad 2015 will host projects in five general disciplines with an environmental focus:

  • GENIUS Science: a) Environmental Quality, b) Ecology and Biodiversity, c) Resources and Energy, d) Human Ecology
  • GENIUS Visual and Performing Art: a) Musical Composition, b) Musical Performance, c) Photography, d) Short film, e) Poster Design, d) Satirical Illustration
  • GENIUS Creative Writing: a) Poetry, b) Short Story, c) Essay (non-fiction)
  • GENIUS Design: a) Architectural Design, b) Urban Planning, c) Interior Design d) Innovation
  • GENIUS Business: a) Entrepreneurship, b) Social Responsibility

 

2015 INFORMATION FOR FINALISTS

  • FINALISTS ARE ANNOUNCED. PLEASE CHECK THE FINALIST LIST and MAKE SURE TO READ FINALIST GUIDE.
  • ALL FINALISTS MUST RE-LOGIN to APPLICATION SYSTEM TO PROVIDE PARTICIPANT INFORMATION BEFORE MAY 22nd DEADLINE to reserve a space at the olympiad.
  • If you are interested in having an interview with the SUNY Oswego admissions office for the fall of 2016 (only students currently in grades 11 and 12), please submit an application using our application system.
  • Applications for 2015 are closed. 

 

WHAT IS NEW IN GENIUS Olympiad 2015?

  • GENIUS Olympiad 2015 will be held June 14-19, 2015
  • New category: GENIUS Business, with entrepreneurship and social responsibility subcategories
  • A three-day Ivy League Tour is now available after the DC-NY Trip
  • Each student may present only one project at the GENIUS Olympiad, however they may submit multiple projects for application
  • Fair Agreements: Each Fair can provide only two projects with minimal screening. All other special agreements, please check your agreement with us again.
