GENIUS offers the following trips on a first-come, first-served based on complete payment and registration. Teachers/supervisors will receive 10% discount for every non-supervisor participant (students and guests).:

  1. Washington DC and New York City Trip (3 nights and 2 days): $695, June 19 - 22, 2026 (starts at Rochester and ends at New York JFK airport). Participants will be dropped off at JFK by 11.30 am on Monday, June 22. The trip dates will follow the conclusion of the GENIUS Olympiad events and are subject to change based on the Olympiad schedule.
  2. Washington DC and New York City Trip (4 nights and 3 days): $845, June 19 - 23, 2026 (starts at Rochester and ends at New York JFK airport). Participants will be dropped off at JFK by 11.30 am on Tuesday, June 23. The trip dates will follow the conclusion of the GENIUS Olympiad events and are subject to change based on the Olympiad schedule.
  3. Boston and New York City with Ivy Universities Tour (4 nights and 3 days): $945, June 19 - 23, 2026 (starts from Rochester and ends at New York JFK airport). During this trip, you will visit Harvard, MIT, Yale, Brown, Columbia, and Princeton University. Participants will be dropped off at JFK/Newark by 11.30 am on Tuesday, June 23. The trip dates will follow the conclusion of the GENIUS Olympiad events and are subject to change based on the Olympiad schedule. Please note that visits to certain universities may not be available; therefore, the final list of universities visited may vary.
  4. Customized trips: GENIUS Olympiad can arrange a customized trip for your group. For this option, please get in touch with us before May 15.

GENIUS Olympiad offers pickup busses from JFK airport (NYC) to bring participants to the GENIUS Olympiad campus. Airport pick-up service will be $100 per participant only on Monday, June 15, 2026.

Each bus will have at least one GENIUS Olympiad staff member who will lead the group; however in general, it is a self-driven trip at the city. We will provide a guide to prepare you for the trip.

Trip Fees must be paid by May 15. Payments will be collected online only within the application platform.

Washington D.C. and NY City Trip-3 nights/2days (105 seats)

You will spend one full day in each city to learn and discover. Washington DC offers several free museums, which are the best and the biggest in the world: be ready to walk in both cities. You may catch a Broadway show and some shopping in New York City.

The trip fee per participant is $695, which covers transportation, hotels, and breakfast (you will buy lunch and dinner per your preferences). Only the first 100 paid participants will be accepted.

Participants will stay one night in a hotel near Washington D.C., and two nights at a hotel nearby New York City. Breakfast will be offered at the hotel.

Participants will be dropped off at JFK airport on Monday, by 11:30 a.m.. We will not provide any transportation for those who have earlier flights than the stated time. If your flight is earlier than 1:00 p.m. from JFK airport, you must take a cab at your own expense from the hotel.

First Day - Washington D.C.: You will be dropped off close to NASA museum around 10:00 a.m. and will be picked around 5:45 p.m..

    Suggested attractions to visit:
  • The free National Smithsonian museums: Air and Space Museum (online reservations required, recommended at least 3 weeks in advance), American History Museum, American Art Museum, and Natural History Museum
  • Monuments on the National Mall
  • The White House
  • The Capitol

Second Day - NYC: You will be dropped off at Battery Park around 10:00 a.m. to view the Statue of Liberty, picked up after lunch from DUMBO, Brooklyn, and then dropped off at the Metropolitan Museum (for free entrance, please coordinate with a Terra staff member) around 2:00 p.m. You will be picked up at 9:15 p.m. at Macy's (34th Street).

  • Empire State Building
  • Broadway Shows

Thirdy Day - NYC: You will be dropped off at Chelsea Market around 10:00 a.m. to walk through the High Line until the Vessel (you may also visit Edge NYC, located near the Vessel). You will be picked up at 9:15 p.m. at Macy's (34th Street).

Boston, New York City, and Ivy League University Tour (50 seats)

This exclusive tour will offer participants the opportunity to visit some of the most prestigious universities in the United States while also exploring major cities like Boston and New York City. The focus of this tour is to provide students with academic insight, campus experiences, and cultural exploration. Please note that the university visit schedule is tentative and subject to change based on the availability and scheduling of the schools. Finalized times and access will be confirmed closer to the tour dates.

The trip fee per participant is $945, which covers transportation, tour guide, hotels, and breakfast (you will buy lunch and dinner per your preferences). Only the first 50 paid participants will be accepted. If participants wish to add one extra day for further sightseeing in New York City, this can be arranged for an additional $150 per person and must be indicated in advance.

Participants will stay one night in a hotel near Boston, and one night at a hotel near Brown or Yale University and two nights at a hotel nearby New York City. Breakfast will be offered at the hotels.

Participants will be dropped off at JFK airport on Tuesday by 11:30 a.m. We will not provide any transportation for those who have earlier flights than the stated time. If your flight is earlier than 1:00 p.m. from JFK, you must take a cab or rideshare at your own expense from the hotel.

First day - Boston: You will begin the day with a guided walking tour of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), followed by a visit to Harvard University. Free time will also be available in Harvard Square and Seaport before returning to the hotel at night.

Second day - University Tour & NYC: You will travel to Brown University (tentative) and continue to Yale University. In the afternoon, you will arrive in New York City for an introductory sightseeing experience. You will be picked up at 9:15 p.m. at Macy's (34th Street).

Third Day - University Tour & NYC: You will start the morning with a visit to Princeton University and then continue with sightseeing and exploration across Manhattan. Highlights include Battery Park, Brooklyn Bridge, DUMBO.

You will be dropped off at Battery Park around noon to view the Statue of Liberty, picked up around 2p.m. from DUMBO, Brooklyn, after viewing Brooklyn Bridge. You will be dropped off at the Metropolitan Museum (for free entrance, please coordinate with a Terra staff member). You will be picked up at 9:15 p.m. at Macy's (34th Street).

Optional Fourth Day - NYC: Participants who choose the additional day will enjoy a morning drop-off at Chelsea Market, a walk along the High Line to the Vessel, and the option to enter Edge NYC (reservation required). The afternoon will include museum visits or shopping at Macy’s, Fifth Avenue, or SoHo, with an evening pick-up at Macy’s (34th Street).

If you choose to attend the fourth day, the participants will be dropped off at JFK airport on Wednesday by 11:30 a.m. We will not provide any transportation for those who have earlier flights than the stated time. If your flight is earlier than 1:00 p.m. from JFK, you must take a cab or rideshare at your own expense from the hotel.

  • Edge NYC (optional, reservation required)
  • Museum visits (MET or MoMA - in case you missed on the third day)
  • Macy’s, Fifth Avenue, or SoHo shopping

JFK/Newark Bus Pick-up and Drop-off Service

GENIUS Olympiad will provide pick-up and drop-off service from/to JFK and Newark Airports for all participants.

Airport Bus Service fee is $100 (one-way) per attendee and is non-refundable.

JFK Airport pick-up service will pick up participants at a specific JFK terminal on Monday, June 9, between 1 and 7 pm. The travel between JFK and RIT university is around 6-7 hours drive.

Newark Airport pick-up service will pick up participants at a specific JFK terminal on Monday, June 9, between 2 and 8 pm. The travel between Newark and RIT university is around 5-6 hours drive.

JFK/Newark Airport drop-off service will leave from GENIUS Olympiad site after dinner at 9.30 pm on Friday June 13, and will drop the participants at a terminal early morning of Saturday June 14 between 4-5 am.

This is a fee based optional service and you have to register within the application account in order to reserve your seat. Seats will be limited and it will be first-come-first-serve basis who registers and pays for it.

Washington DC, NY City and Six Flags Great Adventure Trip (50 seats)

You will spend one full day in each city to learn and discover. Washington DC offers several free museums, which are the best and the biggest in the world: be ready to walk in both cities. You may catch a Broadway show and some shopping in New York City. In addition, you will spend 1 day in Six Flags Great Adventure of NJ (Please click here to learn more about activities at this location). The trip fee includes the entrance ticket to the Six Flags park.

The trip fee per participant is $925, which covers transportation, hotels, and breakfast, and an entrance ticket to Six Flags (you will buy lunch and dinner per your preferences). Only the first 50 paid participants will be accepted.

Participants will stay one night in a hotel near Washington D.C., and three nights at a hotel nearby New York City. Breakfast will be offered at the hotel.

Participants will be dropped off at JFK airport on Tuesday, by 11.30 AM. We will not provide any transportation for those who have earlier flights than the stated time. If your flight is earlier than 1.00 pm from JFK airport, you must take a cab at your own expense from the hotel.

Washington D.C. offers (You will be dropped off close to NASA museum at 9 am and will be picked around 7 pm)

Trip Fees must be paid by May 10. Payments will be collected online only within the application process.

Cancellation and Refund Policy Full refunds are given for cancellations made by May 10. Half of the trip fees will be refundable if canceled between May 10 and June 1. It will not be refundable for trips canceled after June 1 due to advance payments to hotels and bus companies to reserve space.
