GENIUS Olympiad is an international high school project competition about environmental issues. It is founded and organized by Terra Science and Education and hosted by the Rochester Institute of Technology. GENIUS Olympiad will host projects in five general disciplines with an environmental focus.

Due to ongoing U.S. embassy closures and increasing COVID-19 cases in NY state, registrations are on hold until further notice. However, we are still announcing our finalist projects. For the finalist list details, please check our finalist page.
Notice: We are closely monitoring COVID-19 updates and following the announcements and guidelines provided by the CDC, NY State Health Department, and local health departments and school districts. At this moment, we plan on holding GENIUS Olympiad as scheduled.

RIT Inn offers a special program for those who would like to stay in a hotel setting rather than college housing.
Special rate for their newly renovated hotel with access to the pool, airport shuttles, and shuttles to campus. You need to make your own registration with the hotel if you choose to stay at RIT Inn.
Mixed Media allows students to design posters using recycled items to give a 3D expression.
Participants can choose SixFlags/NYCity as their trip option and spend one whole day at Six Flags.
Short Film has 3 categories: documentary, animation, and narrative. Judging creteria for short film is also updated.
$50 application fee per project.
For US/EU fairs, deadline is April 15.
$230 participation fee per participant
